‘Around Kilmington’

Kilmington - taking in Shute Hill, Shute Barton, Yarty and Axe Flood Plain. The morning walk is a circular 3.5 miles passing through woods and Shute Barton, mainly on forest tracks and quiet rural roads, short section through farmland.  Good underfoot but muddy in a few places.  Bring a packed lunch to eat at Kilmington Green (some seating).  In the afternoon the walk is over the Yarty and Axe floodplains, interesting wildlife and river meanders.  Very flat 3.5 miles which can easily be shortened.
Start at Kilmington  Village Hall at 10am. SY273981. Bring Lunch.
